Hello Everyone!

Thanks for Joining! I'm Kim Lasher (lasherbjds.com), I will be one of the Mods here! Can't wait to say hello to you all!
I live in Grand Rapids, MI with my 2 children ages 4 and 6 a dog and a cat and 4 baby robins in a nest in the light post in my front yard.

I've been making dolls for many, many years but just in the last 2 have been enchanted with the BJD world. I have a small collection of dolls of all kinds: a Goodreau Rumor, Himstedt, Donna Lee baby, a few Kaye Wiggs, a McAlason and a few others.

I have a busy life but I love it! What could be better than playing with dolls and children all day!!!

I'm relatively new to ball-jointed dolls--only within the past two years or so have I started collecting them. I have dolls from Goodreau, Berdine Creedy and Peak's Woods, and I have Anya on order (I can't wait!).

I also collect Tonner Dolls and Fashion Royalty--currently, I have a couple of themes:

• Alice in Wonderland
  
• The Wives of Henry VIII
  
• ReImagined Fairytales
  
• History of Fashion
  
• ReImagined Historical Characters
  

In addition to dolls, I love quilting, and I'm a stay-at-home mother of four, two boys and two girls, who range in age from nine to three. I also write a couple of blogs, including the the Fashion Doll Review. I do my best to stay sane.

Hi Alison! Thanks for joining us!!!! Do I owe you some answers to questions??? Yes, I am trying to stay sane myself. It's not easy with little kids, is it???!!!!!! LOL

You do--but I figure you probably had your hands full! I completely understand. Especially with summer coming up around the corner... Yikes!

I promise to do it in the next few weeks!!!! Trying to get all my Anya orders out and my darn mohair is not coming in on time UGGG!

I cant remember how long ago i got my first bjd now? lol but i am a stay at home mom of 4, 2 boys 2 girls my 4 are 6,9,12 and 13. I also have a 13yr old foster girl, who thinks she is the lucky one to live with us but we feel lucky to have her:)
I have all sizes from puki to sd size, I have some pet bjds too. I like making tiny stuffed animals for the bjd kids, oh yeah I also make them birds..

Hi everyone, it's paulette...just wanted to say welcome. So far I know everyone, but I will do the usual introduction anyway. I make dolls!! I am the designer of the American BJD's by Goodreau Doll. I have 18 animals running around the house. Mostly old now, but very entertaining. I write, draw, and still collect dolls in an obscene manner of greed! I have been raised in the doll community and it means a lot to me. Now back to cleaning as we have guests arriving tomorrow!!!!

I have no idea of what I'm doing - I've never used a forum like this, never used the Yahoo web site - only got Yahoo posts by individual emails. How do you post pictures? How to set up an icon for your user name?

I'm glad to be here - maybe in a year or two I'll figure this out.

I've collected BJD's for just about a year now - I have Elf Doll Lydia and Carolei, a lot of Goodreau's and a lot of Creedy's, and Little Fee Ante has just joined my household. Also a Narae and a Soulkid Ahee. Probably a few more that my mind just isn't processing right now. I jumped in big time.

Glad you made it!!!! I think once you poke around in the different files and folders, you'll get the hang of it quickly!!!

To make your avatar, just got to Profile at the top bar and then click on avatar and you can choose a default one or upload one from a file on your computer.

My yarns and threads is what keep me sane, I design and create stuff, always have
been, the last years it's mostly been for dolls, and since
I got my first bjd, for them

Hi everyone *waves*! I'm Karen, and I'm a doll collector from way back, mostly Madame Alexander Cissy, but for the past few years I've gone over the BJD side. I, too, have everything from Pukis to SDs. Right now I'm on a child/pixie kick, but will go back to the mature dolls like a bouncing ball. I like to sew when my back allows it and am just taking up crochet ~ easier on the back but harder on the eyes.

My new SD girls has got most my attention all winter.

Just a quick "HI" to everyone!!! I'm glad you set up a new forum format...I was never really a fan of Yahoo!! So I'm excited now!!!! Those that now me know that I already have 4 of the American BJD's (actually 5 as I just got a replacement for my smaller footed Innuendo just 'cause I wanted the bigger footed gal), and I have a Soulkid Apple...I'll have to get a group shot to post!! I'm on lunch break now, so I'll set up my profile later!! This is too cool!!!! Paulette I think you'll have a lot of folks joining as it's nice to have a place to share all BJD's. And this format "remembers" post too!!
